Located on the Continental Divide, with excellent powder skiing, and one of the world’s highest lifts, Monarch is a classic Colorado ski area. Although it does not have all the extras and embellishments of its neighbours, this area offers great skiing for beginners, intermediates, and experts.
Winter Fly fishing, snowmobiling, road and mountain biking, snowshoeing, and hot springs are also available at the resort.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS |
|
| Nearby Attractions: With all the attractions in the surrounding area, there is much to entertain and amuse visitors, other than the fantastic skiing. The UFO Watch Tower in Hooper, Valley View Hot springs, Wilderness Aware Rafting, Buffalo Joe’s Whitewater Rafting, are a few of the nearby attractions.
|
| Aprés-Ski: Lets face it, when you come to Monarch, it is because you love skiing, and that is what you get. There is of course nearby Gunnison and all its restaurants for great dining and evening entertainment, so if you are looking for a little apres-ski, take a look at the town rather than the resort. |
