Breckenridge is not a purpose built ski resort, it has been around since the days of the gold rush, today though, it is still coining it with the British tourists who flock to the snowy slopes in search of great skiing. Of note is the specialist park and half-pipe, and the good range of pistes across four tree-lined peaks.
Breckenridge is one of the top three most popular skiing destinations in the US, and offers a full range of accommodation, nightclubs, bars, restaurants and shops. Take note though, that altitude sickness combined with jetlag can produce unpleasant effects, and make for a few days discomfort.
