Arapahoe Basin is one of the highest ski areas in North America that is lift-serviced, and its peak lift-serviced elevation is 3,799m, as a result, the A-Basin, as the resort is referred to, usually remains open well into June, and has been known to close after July or August.
The magnificent scenery provides a dramatic setting for skiing and snowboarding, and Pallavincini, Colorado’s longest and steepest trail is found here. The facilities in the area provide lodging, dining, and after-dark entertainment. An added benefit is the bilingual instructors and staff, who will assist visitors from around the world.
