POPULAR TRAVEL DESTINATIONS

Because of its remote location in the Purcell Mountains, Panorama is more of a mountain retreat and is often underrated and overlooked as a ski resort. It has all the facilities of a fantastic resort like walk-to-lifts accommodation and high-speed quad chair lifts.

There are several outdoor hot tubs located right at the base of the lifts, in which you can soak your weary bones after a day on the slopes. Panorama Ski Resort is located in the Toby Creek Valley, 11 miles (17 km) west of Invermere. The nearby towns of Invermere and Radium Hot Springs provide additional accommodation.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Nearby Attractions: If you love a good story, you simply have to visit The Stolen Church in nearby Windermere. Windermere's favourite pioneer tale began with St. Peter's Anglican Church in the railway town of Donald, over 200 km away.

When a Mrs. Kimpton moved from Donald in 1897, she missed her church so much that her husband literally stole it from under the noses of the town officials, shipped it by wagon and barge to Windermere, and had it rebuilt at its present location! At the Valley Pioneer Museum you can enjoy a hands-on look at the history of the Windermere Valley.

Extensive archival materials, a large historic photograph collection, mining cabins and heritage buildings, and even a dug-out canoe made by an early Shuswap Indian are on display. If you are in need of some serious relaxing, head north to Radium Hot Springs or south to Fairmont Hot Springs. Both are very close by.
Aprés-Ski: The Apres Ski scene in Panorama Mountain Village is alive and well.

The resort offers 4 restaurants and cafes, 3 nightclubs and bars, ski shop, rental shop, convenience store, gift shop, 7 hot tubs, sauna, massage, ice skating, snowmobiling and sleigh rides.
