It is situated in a regional park and is run by a non-profit organisation. It is Vancouver Island's only community owned and operated ski and snowboard facility and has the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of a family orientated resort.

Nearby Attractions: Situated on the north end of the island, it lends itself to sporting facilities like, canoeing, sailing, whitewater rafting as well as sight seeing air tours.
The Zeballos Museum has an absorbing collection of artefacts from this area, which was once a gold mine, but with logging as its chief occupation today. Visitors can also enjoy the Ronning Gardens, a 2 hectare garden of exotic shrubs, plants and trees established in 1920 by a Norwegian settler. |
| Aprés-Ski: It is fairly quiet here with only a small café offering breakfast, lunch and supper and a variety of snacks. The ski shop has great pacakages on hiring of goods and equipment and also snowshoeing is popular here. |
