Just outside of town Golden in the Canadian Rockies is the first four seasons resort to be built in the last 25 years. The Kicking Horse Resort has been rated as the #1 resort for powder in North America by Skiing Magazine, due to its sparkling, light and dry snow, suitably named "Champagne Powder".
The former "Whitetooth Ski Area" offer a prefect mix of runs for both beginners looking for a relaxed winter paradise & adrenaline junkies looking for that ultimate ride. Other winter activities include heli-skiing, snowmobiling, ice climbing, dog sledding and snowshoeing. |

Nearby Attractions: The Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge in Golden is the town's new local pride and joy. This community built timber-frame bridge, which crosses the Kicking Horse River at 8th Ave., could easily be mistaken as a work of art.
The Radium Hot Springs with its large outdoor pool tucked under the walls of Sinclair Canyon is also nearby, and is a great way to unwind after a hard days skiing. |
| Aprés-Ski: The Grizzly Bear Refuge Centre is a research, education, and conservation centre for the local grizzly bears and other wildlife. Come meet the orphaned grizzly bear cub, Boo, who is the mascot of the centre. |
