Nearby Attractions: As well as the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains to enjoy, visitors can go to the Cave and Basin Centennial centre which offers the fascinating story of the discovery of the springs with historical exhibits, geological displays and videos telling of the park's history, along with self guided tours, which explore the effect of hot water springs on the enviroment.
The Banff Park Museum is Western Canada's oldest natural museum, with its 1903 building a showpiece of architecture and natural history interpretation with mammals, birds and insects preserved in authentic Victorian style dating back to the 1860's. |
| Aprés-Ski: The resort lacks the Alpine ambience and is more of a summer resort. The Lodge does have a bar, restaurant and coffee bar, as well as a children's place, where the children are entertained with arts and crafts. There is a wide range of fun, lively nightlife, with plenty of bars to get warmed up, as it gets cold at night. |
