Saas Fee is known as the Pearl of the Alps and has some of the most amazing scenery anywhere in the Alps, from 4000m peaks to a range of beautiful glaciers. Most of the runs are best suited for beginners and intermediates, with a few good off-piste and black runs for experts. There is an excellent school for snow boarders, as well as a good park. Saas Fee is the official training centre for the Professional Snowboarding Association.
The Mittelallin glacier is connected to Saas Fee by an underground railway and provides excellent skiing conditions in summer. The resort has retained much of its traditional charm and is free of traffic. The Apres Ski scene is pretty good, although a little limited. There are also many non-ski activities on offer, for those who want to take a break from skiing. |
