This charming and unspoilt Alpine village is one of the most popular skiing destinations with people from around the world. The snow cover is excellent, but the skiing available is not that extensive.
Most of the runs are best suited for beginners and intermediates, although you can go to Gstaad and four other domains unfer the Gstaad Superski pass. The system is well organised with busses and trains running at regular intervals. The Apre Ski scen is a little mellow, but there are many restaurants and bars, as well as a few nightclubs. |

| This restaraunt in downtown Chateau-d'oex has the best food in all of Switzerland. Try either the Shrimp or the Gnochi with truffle sauce - either dish will blow you away. |
