The beautiful and traditional resort town of Arosa is located at the top of the Schanfigg Valley, and is popular with non-skiers as well as the slope-sliders. The snow here is excellent and the lift system is very efficients.

The majority of the 70km of pistes are best suited for beginners and intermediates, and experts will have to be satisfied with a few blacks and off-pistes that can be found. Arosa is a great family holiday destination, which is very friendly and traditionally Swiss. This is a perfect place for beginners who want a full Alpine experience.

Nearby Attractions: If you've had enough of skiing and need something else to do, there are a few other activities on offer. There are many walking trails where you can take a walk and look at the breathtaking views of the Alps and surrounding landscape.

For something a little more cultural you can go to the Schanfigg Country Museum, which displays what life was like in the 1500s. For other sightseeing possiblities your best bet would be to take the short drive into Chur, which is a good idea for a day trip.
Aprés-Ski: The Apres Ski scen in Arosa is a little quiet, with most of it being hotel and restaurant based. One of the best places to go to have some fun is the Casino, there is great music; plenty of drinks; and a mix of fun people.

Other bars worth checking out are the Kitchen Club and Barosa.

There are a few excellent restaurants and cafes in Arosa, Vetter Stuebel is one of the best.

There is also a sports centre, where you can work out a bit; a swimming pool; paragliding; walking trails; and an ice rinks.
