Sestriere is possibly the best ski resort in the Milky Way, and was the first purpose-built village in the Alps. Its high altitude provides excellent snow conditions, which is assisted by widespread snowmaking. The runs cater for all levels of skiing abillity, with excellent on-pistes for beginners and intermediates, as well as great black runs and off-pistes for experts.
There is also a good park for snow boarders. The resort offers a wide range of non-ski activities, with a lively Apres Ski scene and a wide choce of restaurants. This is a great place for an unforgettable skiing holiday. |

Nearby Attractions: Sestriere offers a number od sightseeing possibilities, some of the top attractions include the Church of San Antonio and the Church of San Edoardo, both these old churches are beautiful and are well worth a look.
There are also guided tours to the Valle Susa fortresses and historic centres, which are recommneded for anyone who is visiting the village for the first time. Paragliding is a good idea for those who are a little more adventurous. |
Aprés-Ski: The Apre Ski scene is quite lively, especially over the weekends. There are a number of bars and a night club, which offer a wide range of fun in the evenings. Sestriere also has a wide range of shops that sell almost anything you need, as well as offer equipment for hire.
There are also many excellent restaurants all over the village, which serve a wide range of local and international cuisine. Other activities on offer include a bowling alley; a sports centre; a gym; an ice rink; and saunas and hot tubs. |
