Selva Gardena, which lies at an altitude of 1,563 m above sea level, is one of the leading ski resort in the Alps. With crystal-clear air, snow covered meadows, and an impressive view over the Dolomite mountains, it is a little cross country paradise. It is ideal for winter sports and for mountain hikers. The location is magnificent, at the foot of the majestic Sella Massif and connected to the Sella Ronda, guests can even arrive at their door without taking their skis off.

The ski resort with a highly efficient lift system, is part of 120km of snowmaking coverage, and generally good value. German is spoken here and many locals call Selva 'Wolkenstein'. There is a wide range of accommodation, while eating on and off the mountain is first-class. The ski school at Selva has received mixed reviews, but most are positive. Overall, Selva an excellent family venue, with plenty of beginner and intermediate slopes. It offers good apres-ski and lots of non-skiing stuff to keep everyone amused.
