Livigno is situated in its own isolated winde-swept valley, and enjoys tax-free status. The majority of the runs are best suited for beginners and intermediates, both snow boarders and skiers.

Experts have a few slightly challenging black runs and off-pistes. It has an effecient lift system, so you don't have to wait in any quees. The town itself has been developed quite a bit, and there tends to be some traffic related problems during the peak season. The Apres Ski scene is relatively quiet, with a limited nightlife and not many non-ski activities on offer. There are, however, many tax-free bargains to be found in the shops.
