Brixen is situated in the Val d'Isarco in the Alto Adige region of Italy, just south of Austria. The resort itself is a mixture of Italy and Austria, with the majority of the locals speaking German, eventhough the village has been part of Italy since the end of WWI. The majority of the runs are best suited for beginners and intermediates, although there are a few black runs and great off-pistes for experts if they are willing to do a bit of travelling.
Apre Ski in Brixen is a bit on the quiet side, but that is part of the attraction of this quiet and charming 1000 year old medieval village. The resort also has a few non-ski activities on offer. All in all, this is a great place to go for an unforgettable skiing holiday. |

Nearby Attractions: Brixen is an old medieval village that is filled with a whole lot of history.
There are a number of attractions worth visiting on the days when you want to take a break from the slopes. Some of the villages top attractiosn include the White Tower and Church of St Michael, which are found at Parish Square.
The village's top attractions is its Baroque Cathedral and convent, which contains the largest alpine frescoes dating from the 14th and 16th centuries.
There are a number of other interesting attractions worth visiting in Brixen located all over the village. |
Aprés-Ski: Brixen's Apres Ski is fairly quiet, with a limited nightlife scene. There are a few bars and one nightclub in the village, all of which offer great venues for a fun night out after a hard day's skiing.
The village also has a number of excellent restaurants that serve a range of traditional; Austrian; and Italian cuisine. A few shops are also found in the village, which sell a range of products and provide equipment for hire
