Val d'Isère along with Tignes makes up the L'Espace Killy and is renowned as one of the best resorts in the world.
The ski area is enormous and everyone will be happy with the variety of the terrain. The off piste for experts needs a guide, but is brilliant.
Ski schools are top notch here and snow is nearly always available in the long season.
The resort is fashionable and as such is on the expensive side and the lifts can get crowded, but if it's pure skiing you're after, then look no further.
There is a snowboard park and loads of other snow sport including sleigh rides and skidoos.
The 70 restaurants offer much choice and the village has excellent sporting facilities. |
