Saint Lary-Soulan is one of the leading Pyrenean resorts and well known for it's thermal spa and a huge ski area.
The resort makes great efforts to accommodate the visitor with the lower slopes catering for the beginner, complete with great ski instruction. The more advanced skier will enjoy the 1900 level to ski the "Mirabelle", one of the longest runs in the Pyrenees.
Kids are well looked after at the lower (1700) level.
There are some great walks at the Pyrenean national park, Healing and relaxing waters of the Thermal Baths and plenty of nearby attractions to occupy off piste time.
Snowboarders have a new park, which doubles as a skate park in the summer.
All in all a resort offering some gems for the family and enough nightlife for the young and restless.

Saint Lary Soulan

Saint Lary Soulan is just great! There is a definate lack of 'decent' hotel accom' which keeps the large ski tour operators out (I am sure this is done for this very reason!) Best thing is to self cater, I self cater a lovely apartment in the village, and its a 5 minute walk through the town to the ski lift up to 1700. The village is quaint and really nice all round.
