Risoul is located in the southern alps in the region of de la Foret Blanche and the area enjoys 174km of piste altogether.The record of snow covering is excellent and coupled with good value, attracts plenty of visitors. Boarders have their own park and Surfland offers great boarding. Beginners will enjoy skiing here, but the area is also good for the occasional skier.

The village has a sports centre, gym and ice rink. Paragliding can be enjoyed here as well. Shopping is adequate without being exiting and apres ski can be great with plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs for such a small resort.

Nearby Attractions: There are nearly 100 shops in Risoul and although plenty of them are run of the mill clothing and grocery outlets, there are a few quaint gift shops for those you left behind at home.

Plenty of activities for children with a very active village and renowned ski schools.

Hiking is always popular on those days you don't want to put the ski's on. Climbing is great on the cascades and snowscooters are loads of fun.
Aprés-Ski: The cinema shows the latest films every night and they revolve regularly

If you like fine French dining or fancy a quick pizza take away, then you can do these things and all stations inbetween.

The bars are mostly confined to hotels and the disco "Le Morgan" rocks your socks off till the early hours.
