Les Gets is at the edge of the huge Portes du Soleil area and although the altitude is fairly low, the resort gets good snow for most of the season. The ski school is excellent and there are enough gentle slopes to hone your skills. The child care facilities are first class and a holiday here would be enjoyed by a family.
Boarders are well looked after with a dedicated park and the use of all pistes.Night skiing by torch, sleigh rides, telemark and snowshoeing are all popular.
The village houses a bowling alley, ice rink, gym and swimming pool. Shopping is adequate and there is a supermarket. You might want to look elsewhere for a wild nightlife, but there are plenty of places to eat. |
