La Rosiere is so close to the Italian border that you could do with your passport whilst skiing. Located in the Petit St Bernard pass and with the Italian resort of La Thuile enjoys a large area of skiing. Like any good resort, there is something for all levels, with a decent amount of variety for the expert. Boarders will enjoy the park and they have heli skiing, skidoos as well as snowshoeing routes.
The village has the basic shops for supplies and a gym. The child care facilities are first class and as far as the apres ski go it's fairly quiet with a few restaurants, bars and a night club. |

Nearby Attractions: If you have young children, they will be taken good care of at "Les Galopins" Childrens village, while you take a day off the slopes to explore the area.
There is one you can catch while skiing as the Napoleonic fort is at the peak of "Du Fort" chairlift and was used last during WW2.The villages in the area are mostly traditional and Montvalezan has a fine church, as well as the village chapels.
Seez St. Bernard lies just 23 kms from La Rosiere and is an artists colony, there are museums and a textile centre. You will enjoy a pleasant day here, with some nice restaurants and cafes to relax in the Alpine beauty. |
Aprés-Ski: There is a choice of French or Italian in the dining, and the restaurants pride themselves on their local cheeses and hams. Fondue is popular here using Beaufort cheese.
The nightlife is pretty quiet with one or two popular bars and a nightclub/disco, so it's easy to meet the same people you bumped into on the slopes. |
