Popular Travel Destinations

La Clusaz is stunningly located in the Aravis Pass Area and apart from being a picture postcard village, it is nearly always well snowed. The resort is within easy reach of Geneva and only 20 km from Annecy and it's attractive lake.

La Clusaz is fairly spread out as far as the slopes, but the village offers a free bus service to the lifts. The slopes are well suited for beginners, but there are good challenges for the accomplished skier. The snowboard park is popular and there is a sports centre, ice rink and plenty of magnificent hiking trails

With a good selection of local shopping and tons of Apres ski, including over 42 restaurants and 2 night clubs.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Nearby Attractions: La Clusaz is a traditional Alpine village situated at the base of the chaine des Aravis. For those days that you prefer shoes to skis is worth investigating.

The Ski House houses an exhibition on the history of winter sports in the area and guides are available to explain the exhibits. Or you could also enjoy a guided farm tour that includes tasting of the Reblochon cheese and the Savoy wines of the area. This is 8 Euros for adults and details can be obtained at the tourist office. They also organise a tour of the town on Tuesdays and Thursday for an interesting and entertaining couple of hours.

Annecy is a short drive and has a pleasant lake and shopping facilities.
Aprés-Ski: There is a good choice of restaurants and cafes in the village and at altitude, La Cascade is a popular central restaurant and makes good use of the local cheese. If you prefer a fast food alternative why not try Pizzaminut in the village centre.

After eating there are plenty of lively bars. If you still have some unused energy then try one of the nightclubs of L'ecluse in the village or the ever rocking Club 18 at La Perriere which hosts live bands and loads of different parties.
