Nearby Attractions: Isola Village is just a short drive down the mountain and is an interesting, historic medieval village. The village has a charming 17th century church, St Pierre es Liens, built in the Baroque style and adorned with trompe-l’oeil wall paintings.
The cobbled main street is picture postcard perfect and houses the 15th century chapel of St Anne's and the St Roth chapel. An oven that has been converted to the village museum, with many historic items. Above the ski resort is the thermal baths of Vinadio, a 12th century sanctuary and a nature centre. |
Aprés-Ski: Isola 2000 has 8 restaurants and a further 10 on the slopes. The nightlife apart from that is limited to the hotels (Two have good dancing night clubs) and one or two lively bars such as Le Crocodile which keeps going after the others give up
The Cow Club is a good place to meet people, and the resort never seems crowded or hurried. |
