Courchevel is the eastern part of the Three Valleys and the resort is divided into four separate parts by altitude. The highest being 1850m, next 1650m, then1550m and the lowest at 1300m which is at Le Praz an old farming village. The resort is a slice of life with the rich lying at the top of the heap as Courchevel 1850 has the top hotels and swanky restaurants and shopping, and that gradually reduces from there.
The snow is nearly always great and the lower classes can just go up in the world on poor days.Facilities are world class, catering well for the beginner up to the expert, and it is a popular destination.
