The Zillertaler Alpenarena area consists of Zell, Gerlos and Konigsleiten. Due to the merge, they have Zell im Zillertal has become the largest snow arena in the Ziller Valley. The area is a snowboarders paradise, offering an unlimited amount of freedom with a range of thrills in specialised boarding parks and halfpipes.
The Zillertaler Alpenarena offers an array of fantastic natural beauty, featuring the most magnificent hiking and biking trails. There is a large number of slopes and lifts available, catering for all levels of expertise. Nearby Attractions: The nearest town of Innsbruck is a wonderful place to visit and offers a great selection of attractions and family activities. A good place to start is the Swarovski Kristallwelten , which consists of a magical Kingdom of Crystal. It is home to an extraordinary collection of crystalline artwork and accompanied by magical 3D light shows.
The fantasy world was opened in 1995 and is a wonderful place to visit for a day of family entertainment. Visitors wanting to do a bit of sightseeing can visit the Hofkirche cathedral, which consists of a Gothic royal court and tomb built in 1553. The tomb has 28 bronze statues which were created during the 16th century. Other places of interest are The Tyrol Museum of Popular Art, The Hofberg Palace and the Alpenzoo. |
