The Wagrain ski resort is centered around the cathedral town of St Johann im Pongau and offers visitors a total of 220km of cross country skiing. The resort features 100 lifts, which are mainly favoured by beginners and early intermediates.

The resort caters well for snowboarders, with a well equipped boarding park, as well as a halfpipe. There are also many other activities available for entertainment, such as ice skating, tobogganing, and sleigh rides, as well as paragliding facilities.

The Apre ski scene is very laid-back, consisting of 2 nightclubs and a couple of restaurants.

Nearby Attractions: The town of Salzburg offers visitors a great selection of places to visit, should they wish to take a break from skiing. The Salzburg Cathedral is an excellent place to start off a day of sightseeing. The original building was constructed around A.D 774, but was later superseded by the Romanesque-style building which was built in 1181.

The cathedral has become famous for housing a 4,000-pipe organ. The Stiftskirche St. Peter is another church which is well worth a visit. The original building was founded in A.D. 696 in a true Romanesque-style. The church was reconstructed during the 18th century into an elegant baroque style. It is home to a large collection of artwork and treasures.

The Salzburger Tiergarten Hellbrunn is a wonderful place to go to enjoy a day of family fun. The zoo is home to a large selection of animals such as otters, antelope, griffin vultures and cheetahs.
Aprés-Ski: The Apre Ski scene is very laid-back and does not offer a large selection of entertainment. It consists mainly of 2 nightclubs and a couple of restaurants. The resort is however also equipped with an ice rink and saunas.

There are also a few other activities available for entertainment, such as ice skating, tobogganing, and sleigh rides, as well as paragliding facilities. The resort is home to beautiful nature walking trails just waiting to be explored.
