The Saalbach-Hinterglemm resort is one of Austria's largest lift-linked ski resorts. It features a total of 200km of skiing run, which cater for all levels of difficulty, although it is predominantly preferred by intermediate skiers. The resort is also home to an excellent ski school and nursery which caters well for beginners.

Snowboarders are also very well catered for with 13km of boarders-only pistes as well as a fully equipped boarding park and halfpipe. The Apre Ski scene is pretty upbeat, consisting of an extensive range of excellent restaurants offering traditional as well as international cuisine. There are also a couple of bars and nightclubs available.

Nearby Attractions: Visitors who wish to take a break from skiing can take a trip to the nearest town of Salzburg. There is a large number of activities to keep people entertained, such as Carolino Augusteum-Volkskundemuseum, which is a brilliant place to start off a day of sightseeing. The museum is home to an interesting collection of local folk art and offers a great viewpoint of religious beliefs and traditional costumes

. The Salzburger Tiergarten Hellbrunn is another place which should definitely not be misses, it offers a wonderful opportunity to keep the entire family entertained. The zoo is home to a diverse collection of animals ranging from chamois and otters to a collection of white rhinoceros and antelope.
Aprés-Ski: The Apre Ski scene is pretty upbeat and consists of an extensive range of excellent restaurants offering a selection of traditional and international cuisine. There is also a couple of good bars and nightclubs available.

The resort features a large indoor swimming pool, as well as a relaxing sauna and an ice rink. There are also numerous beautiful walking trails and paragliding facilities available.
