The Ramsau am Dachstein resort is situated at the foot of the Dachstein mountain. The resort offers an absolutely gorgeous array of natural unspoilt beauty and an extensive range of activities. The Ramsau Ski School offers brilliant ski services specialising in the training of children and adult beginners. The resort offers a total of 200km of cross-country skiing, which is mostly favoured by beginners and intermediates.

Snowboarders are also well catered for with an excellent specialised boarding park and a halfpipe. The Apre ski scene is also pretty well catered for, consisting of a couple of nice bars and clubs, as well as a few shops and a large selection of excellent restaurants.

Nearby Attractions: The town of Salzburg offers visitors a wonderful selection of attractions and entertainment, should they wish to take a little break from skiing. The Carolino Augusteum-Volkskundemuseum is an excellent place to start off a day of sightseeing. It is home to an interesting collection of local folk art and traditional costumes.

The Hellbrunn Palace which is situated on Furstenweg is another place which is definitely worth a visit. It was built during the 17th century and features one of the most beautiful and oldest formal baroque-style gardens in Europe. The Salzburger Tiergarten Hellbrunn is a place to visit for a fun-filled family outing. The zoo is home to a diverse selection of animals, ranging from otters and white rhinoceros to antelope, cheetahs and griffin vultures.

Aprés-Ski: The Apre ski scene is pretty well catered for, consisting of a couple of nice bars and nightclubs, as well as a few shops and a large selection of excellent restaurants offering traditional and international cuisine.

There is also a bowling alley which offers hours of fun and entertainment for the entire family. The resort features a sports and leisure center equipped with a large heated swimming pool and a relaxing sauna.

For nature-lovers there is an extensive range of beautiful walking trails through the lush beauty of the green alpine pastures.
