Maria Alm is without a doubt one of the most beautiful villages in Austria and has even won awards for its splendid beauty. The resort is relatively small, but does however offer a significant amount of challenging and exciting skiing. The resort is home quite a number of slopes, considering its size, and caters best for the intermediate skiers

. There is also a fun park and a good variety of easy and more difficult slopes. The Apre Ski scene is a bit on the quiet side, only offering visitors a couple of restaurants, a bowling alley and a leisure center.

Nearby Attractions: The nearest town is Salzburg, which offers a substantial amount of entertainment, should you wish to take a bit of a break from the skiing scene. The Carolino Augusteum-Volkskundemuseum is a wonderful place to start off a day of wonderful sightseeing. The museum houses three floors of local folk art and traditional costumes of Salzburg.

The Salzburger Tiergarten Hellbrunn is another excellent choice, featuring a great selection of animals, as well as a kids petting zoo. Another place which should definitely not be missed is the Hellbrunn Palace. Visitors will be completely amazed by the beauty of the gardens, which is one of Europe's oldest Baroque-style formal gardens.
Aprés-Ski: The Apre Ski scene is a bit on the quiet side, only offering guests a couple of nice restaurants and a bowling alley as entertainment. The resort however also features a leisure and sports center, which is equipped with a gym, a large indoor swimming pool, and a sauna.

The resort has an ice rink, which is sure to provide a couple of hours of entertainment for the entire family. There are also some magnificent walking trails just waiting to be explored by the nature-lovers.
