The Ischgl ski resort is situated in the Paznaun valley. It has become one of the most popular skiing resorts in the area and ironically, was once a traditional little farming village. The resort also offers a link into Switzerland for some duty free shopping.

There is a total of 200km of skiing runs, which cater mainly for intermediates. The resort also caters well for snowboarders with an excellent specialist boarding park and halfpipe. The Apre ski scene is well equipped and offers loads of entertainment for both young and old. Overall, it is an excellent place to enjoy an Austrian ski holiday at its best.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Nearby Attractions: The lovely Tyrolean village of Ischgl offers visitors a good selection of activities and attractions should they wish to take a break from skiing. An excellent place to start a day of sightseeing is the Annakapelle chapel. This is the oldest chapel throughout the entire Paznaun valley and was built in 1610. Another chapel of interest is the Maria-Schnee-Kapelle.

This is the largest Parish chapel in Ischgl and was originally constructed in 1643. The high altar which is beautifully decorated was created by Michael Lechleitner in 1660. In addition to these there are also a couple of historical sites, museums and nature preserves which are well worth a visit.
Aprés-Ski: The Apre ski scene is well equipped and offers loads of entertainment for both young and old. There is a large selection of bars and nightclubs available, as well as loads of excellent restaurants offering a selection of traditional and international cuisine.

The resort also features a bowling alley, a cinema and a sports and leisure center. There is also a large heated outdoor swimming pool, a gym and an ice rink. The resort is home to beautiful walking trails, and offers hand gliding and paragliding facilities.
