The skiing region consists of two separate areas, namely the Gefrorene Wand Kees and the Grobes Riepenkees and together they consists of more than 190 million cubic meters of ice. The Hintertux Glacier region is often home to exciting skiing and music shows and festivals. It has become a very popular skiing area and offers lift-links to various resorts in the region.

There is a total of 67 lifts and 230km of skiing run, favoured mainly by intermediates. There is a selection of excellent skiing schools available, perfect for beginners and children. Snowboarders are also well catered for with a well equipped specialised boarding park and halfpipe. The Apre ski scene is pretty well equipped, consisting of a couple of shops and restaurants and a really great nightlife

There are also other activities available for entertainment, such as a bowling alley, a cinema and an ice rink.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Nearby Attractions: The town of Innsbruck offers a great selection of entertainment. The Swarovski Kristallwelten is a wonderful place to visit for a fun-filled family outing. It consists of a magical Kingdom of Crystal, opened in 1995. It features an exciting collection of crystalline works of art accompanied by entertaining 3D light shows. For those who wish to do some sightseeing, should visit the Hofburg Palace.

The palace was originally built during the 15th century and after being destroyed, it was rebuilt in the classic beauty of true baroque-style architecture during the 18th century. Other places of interest include The Tyrol Museum of Popular Art, The Alpenzoo and The Hofkirche cathedral.
Aprés-Ski: The Apre ski scene is pretty well equipped, consisting of a couple of shops and restaurants. There are also other activities available for entertainment, such as a bowling alley, a cinema and an ice rink.

The Hintertux Glacier is often home to exciting skiing and music festivals and boasts a very entertaining nightlife, with an excellent selection of nightclubs and bars. The resort features extensive walking trails, as well as paragliding and hand gliding facilities.

The resorts are also equipped with sport and leisure centers which feature a gym, a large heated swimming pool and sauna's. Their is also specialised entertainment available for children, such as handicraft, a carousel and magic carpet, internet cafe's and various specialised playgrounds.
