The Gargellen ski village is situated amongst the lush beauty of the Montafon Valley. Gargallen currently boasts with the title of the highest ski resort in the Montafon Valley and featuring some of the best-equipped off-piste skiing in the whole of Voralberg. Children as well as beginners are very well catered for with an excellent skiing school and kindergarten.

Snowboarders are spoilt with a well equipped specialised boarding park accompanied by excellent music and a halfpipe. The resort offers a total of 8 lifts,14 slopes and 35km of cross-country skiing, favoured mainly by beginners and intermediates.

The Apre ski scene is very relaxed and laid-back, consisting predominantly of a couple of bars, a nightclub and some good restaurants.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Nearby Attractions: The town of Gargellen only offers a limited amount of entertainment for those who wish to take a bit of a break from skiing. The St. Maria Magdalena church was built in 1793 and is an exciting place visit.

The church consists of traditional Baroque style architecture and features a Romanesque-style high altar. The side altars date back to the 17th century and contain figures of Melchior Lechleitner.

The St. Fidelis-Kapelle which is situated near the street on the way to Gargellen, is another worth while attraction which should definitely not be missed.
Aprés-Ski: The Apre ski scene is very relaxed and laid-back, consisting predominantly of a few bars, a nightclub and a couple of nice restaurants.

There is also a sports and leisure center, as well as an ice rink and a large heated swimming pool.

The resort also features beautiful nature walking trails and paragliding and hand gliding facilities.
