| Soldeu is a cheap ski resort with reliable snow and lots of sunshine. It is home to one of the best ski schools in Europe and most of the pistes cater to beginners and early intermediates. The town has lots of reasonably priced cafes, restaurants and bars and the atmosphere is lively. Its approximately 220km from Barcelona Airport so transfers to the resort take some time. |

Nearby Attractions: If you want to take a trip further afield, try an overnight stay at the Spanish town of La Seu d'Urgell.This is the Spanish gateway to Andorra, and is home to the 12th-century Cathedral de Santa Maria, which is wonderful example of a Romanesque buildings.
Inside the cathedral is the Museu Diocesā, which is full of scriptures, murals, and altarpieces. The most outstanding manuscript is the rare 10th-century Beatus, which is an illustration of the Apocalypse.

Aprés-Ski: Cheap alcohol makes for a lively, but not raucous Apres Ski scene. Recommended bars include Fat Alberts, Pussycat and the Aspen, But if you want a quiet drink try the pleasant bar below the Eidelweis Apartments.
The Squirrel Restaurant serves excellent curries and the Colorado Tex-Mex restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices.

| Grau Roig is an absolute paradise for intermediate and advanced skiiers with motorway like black and reds and a couple of beautiul tree lined runs!! Totally amazing!! The band form Derry, Noel and Jon on acustics in Fattys or at night with jordan and moncho are a must see!! amazing music doing whatever you want! totally fantastc to watch, guys u r legends!!! loved it, great place!! u must go there! |

| This is the one place I always want to go back to. Great slopes which most ski levels will enjoy and a great atmosphere. A special mention to the guys in the bands Sugar House Lane/Scantily clad who for my money are absolutely superb. |
