POPULAR TRAVEL DESTINATIONS

Arinsal is geared towards younger, less experienced skier's who take advantage of the cheap booze and huge selection of bars and clubs. The skiing itself is perfect for the complete novice or lower intermediate. There is an excellent ski school and learners will find Arinsal an excellent venue.

Arinsal is only 7km from Andorra's capital, La Vella and this results in extremely busy weekends, although a new high-speed 6-man cable car has reduced queuing. The nearest international airport is in Barcelona, which is 225km away, so transfer times are long. Although Arinsal is perfect for beginners and those heavily in to Apres-ski the childcare facilities are good, so families like it here. Also the snow is pretty reliable.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Nearby Attractions: Take a trip to the capital of the principality, Andorra la Vella. It provides excellent shopping opportunities as stores selling duty-free electronics, alcohol and luxury goods are everywhere.

The Old Quarter of the city, the Barri Antic, has been the heart of Andorra la Vella for centuries. The picturesque, narrow cobblestone streets are lined with quaint stone houses.

The Casa de la Vall (House of the Valley) has served as Andorra's parliament building since the 18th century although it was built in 1580 as a private home.
Aprés-Ski: Andorra is a duty free zone and this is reflected in the apres ski scene in Arinsal, which is young and energetic.Bars like the Surf Bar, El Cau and La Riba Bar keep going into the small hours.

There is a good selection of traditional Spanish and French restaurants, such as Cisco's and Borda d'Erts, in the town and prices are reasonable.
