| There are 40 real aircraft on display and you can't get any better than that in the way of educating the public about aviation. The museum look at the industry from its beginnings in the 1930s to the present time. Located just 10 minutes from downtown, some of the activities include testing the controls of the airplanes. |

 Discovery Park - Natural Attraction |
| This park lives up to its name. With 500 acres at one's disposal for sight seeing, and taking in the smells, there is much to do and see. Located on 3801 Government Way NW, it has forest, beaches, cliffs, meadows, and nature trails. It is a former US army post and therefore some of the trails can be quite grueling. |

 Klondike Gold Rush Historical Park - Cutural Attraction |
The things that people do for gold or to get rich quick are truly amazing. Some of the people who went for it succeeded while others were not so lucky. What they all had in common though was the stamina and vigor to persue their dreams. Through displays, photomurals, artifacts, slide and film shows, this museum details the gold rush stampede of the late 1800s.
The whole business was so frantic that a Hollywood movie, based on the Klondike rush, was once made. The museum also holds gold panning demonstrations. |

 Pike Place Market - Tourist Attraction |
Some time in 1907, there was an uprising in which the Seattle community demanded the elimination of the middle man when it came to purchasing their food. The outcome was positive and resulted in local farmers being able to sell their produce by the waterfront creating Pike Place Market.
It is supposed to be the oldest continuously serving farmers' market in the country although business was interrupted in 1941when a fire razed it down. Watching the fishmongers compete for attention from passersby as they hurl the fish from the shelves to the scales is one of the draws of the market. Apart from fish, you can buy literally anything from artichokes to antiques.

| Most towns and cities that are worth their salt seem to have the feature of a vantage point for a panoramic views of their locality and Seattle is no exception. The Space Needle is a 605 ft tower where at the 520ft level you can take in the city from an observation deck. The elevators are made of glass so you can see something of the city as you go up but it is not obviously for the faint hearted. |

In Seattle, what is known as Chinatown in some areas is known as the international district. On King Street, there is a museum that delves into the lives of the Asian-American community in Seattle as well as displays work by local Asian artists.
Another landmark in this area is the giant dragon mural and red/green pagoda in Maynard Street. Also along this street are community gardens. |

| This is located in a grandiose building with an entire floor dedicated to the art of the Pacific Northwest Native Americans. There is also an extensive collection of modern and contemporary regional works and the 21 000 objects on display include African masks. It is locatreed on 100 University Street. |

 Gas Works Park - Tourist Attraction |
If you are tired of looking at vantage points from glass and steel cages then this park is for you. The park gives you spectacular views of the city, including Lake Union, from a point of view that is completely natural from the air that you breath to the ground that you touch.
You can go up onto the 28 ft sundial on top of Kite Hill where your shadow marks the time. There is a play barn for children and a promenade from where you can watch the scores of boats sailing towards the ship canal. The 20 acre park also has picnic shelters |
