 Meadows Museum of Art - Cutural Attraction |
Located at 5900 Bishop Blvd, on the campus of Southern Methodist University, is where one of the finest collections of Spanish Art, outside of Spain, can be viewed. Collected by oil magnate Algur Meadows, on his visit to Spain, when he returned with works from the 15th to 20th century Spanish masters, such as Velazquez, Goya, Ribera, Murillo, and Zurbaran.
Admission to the museum is free, but a donation of $3 is welcomed.

With stingrays, sharks, sea turtles and other marine life to interest them until they become bored, the next point of call can be the “Orinoco – Secrets of the River” an exhibit centre red on the tropical rainforest of Venezuela, and teeming with endangered Orinoco crocs, Peruvian squirrel monkeys, jaguars and soft-billed toucans. The home of the five-time Super Bowl Champions is Texas Stadium, 2401 E. Airport Freeway, Irving, and the team play here from August to December. Located at 3809 Grand Ave, recognised as a National Historic Landmark, this park was built to commemorate the Republic of Texas's independence from Mexico, and is a classic accumulation of Art Deco buildings. With several museums, the State Fair Coliseum, Starplex Amphitheatre and other such venues, there is a lot to do and see in this area, especially during the annual State Fair of Texas, which just celebrated its 50th year, and is held on the last weekend of September and first 3 weeks of October.
