Chinatown - Natural Attraction
It could be a little confusing, you are visiting Honolulu, which is a USA state, but you are in all intents and purposes, slap bang in the middle of Asia. To tour this fascinating and mysterious neighbourhood is to see the ornate Buddhist Kuan Yin Temple, any number of shrines and other temples, a buzzing market place right out of a Hong Kong travelogue, and antique shops and art galleries.
Once the scene of human sacrifices, Leahi, as the Hawaiians called what is now known as Diamond Head, is worth the hike to its summit. Here the view from one of the best-known landmarks in the Pacific is a full 360-degree panorama, and the entire southeastern coast of Oahu lies before you in breathtaking beauty.
Tantalus & Makiki Heights - Natural Attraction
Drive or hike this road that runs through the forest reserve of the Makiki Valley to the summit of Mt Tantalus. The Honolulu Watershed Forest Reserve and Puu Ualakaa State Park can be reached by taking one of the trails leading off the circuit.
Contemporary Museum - Cutural Attraction

Waikiki - Tourist Attraction
For luaus, the lovely hula hula, and long, sunny days on picture perfect white-sand beaches, Waikiki is the place to be, even if you have to share it with thousands of other tourists. Lined with high-rise hotels, innumerable restaurants, bars, and clubs, Waikiki is a thoroughly modern tropical paradise for sun-seekers. There are a number of botanical gardens in Honolulu, as can be expected with the glorious tropical climate of the region. From the 7 ½ acre Lili`uokalani Botanical Garden, between North Kuakini and School Streets, once owned by Queen Lili`uokalani, to Wahiawa Botanical Garden, a 27 acre tropical rain forest, that sees 52 to 80 inches rainfall a year and is set on a high elevation plateau in Central Ohau.
King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade - Local Festival or Holiday
This colourful celebration is one the main events of the Hawaiian calendar, and sees marching bands, gorgeous floral floats, and Pa’u riders, parading the streets of Honolulu.
This annual contest of American football between the best players of the AFC and the NFC, is a friendly, but glamorous occasion, when over 50,000 spectators gather for a week of activates leading up to the main event. Held in February each year at the Aloha Stadium, in Honolulu.
This 500-acre park is located at the eastern end of Waikiki, between Kapahulu and Paki Avenues. The 42-acre Honolulu Zoo, Kapi’olani Rose Garden, and the Waikiki Aquarium, are among the numerous facilities of the park, which also has a driving range for golf, and amenities for a number of different sports, concerts, and general enjoyment of life.
