 Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden - Tourist Attraction |
Located in Barnoon Hill is the studio of the late Dame Barbara Hepworth which she bequeved as a museum.
The museum houses much of her art work from 1928 till her death in 1975, also the story of her life is well covered. The attractive gardens contain 47 of her sculptures.

Located in the perfect place on Porthmear Beach with outstanding sea views. The Tate is a smaller version of it's main branch in London. St Ives is well known as an artists colony and the gallery showcases painting and sculpture mainly from the mid 1900s. Some very fine work adorns the gallery and it is popular exhibit.

 St. Just in Roseland - Tourist Attraction |
Down the coast a short way is this beautiful typical English village unspoilt by tourism (Although many come here). The very cute stone cottages date back to the 13th century and it looks like time has stood still. The area is known for its sub tropical flora and you can even see one or two palm trees. A good way to enter the village is by the regular ferry over the Roseland Peninsula.

This would be a day trip from St Ives via the pretty villages and coastal coves to the most westerly point of mainland Britain. Very popular with visitors obviously. Plenty to see and do apart from the stunning sea and cliff vistas. Visit the first and last house, museums, the excellent interactive film, Animal farm for the children, gift shops, coffee shops, restaurants. Everyone will find some joy here.

The Blitz Museum is a similar re-creation of wartime Britain, feel the atmosphere as you walk the just bombed streets.

Why not put on your walking shoes and hike the rugged northern Cornish coast to Zennor. The hike of a few Kms takes you from St Ives via the coastal path to the little village of Zennor, that has an interesting legend concerning mermaids. In general the Cornish coastal paths enjoy magnificent views, hidden sandy coves and delightful Cornish villages.

This is the towns beach and it is perfect for families with it's soft sand and safe swimming. Surfers well catered for at the numerous surf shops. It is the premier surfing beach in Britain, but you won't find 20 ft waves, just small and gentle 3 footers most of the time
There is a surf school on the beach for the rookie and on those rainy days a fine museum stands on the beach, the visitor can browse through 200 years of local history through photos and artefacts.
