Baltic Centre - Cutural Attraction
From the centre of the city go to Gateshead Millennium Bridge on the Tyne(The worlds only rotating bridge). Cross it and you will see the centre in front of you. Housed in a former grain mill.

This contempory art gallery is similar to London's Tate inasmuch as it houses 5 floors of modern art. There are great city and river views from the top.

Birkheads Gardens - Natural Attraction
Birkheads Lane, Causey Arch, Sunniside, just a short drive from the city hustle and bustle are these beautiful gardens on 3 acres.All different style gardens on show here including a railway garden, Zen garden, winter, beachcombers and tea garden. Enjoy a quiet hour or two in the country.

Tyne Bridge - Tourist Attraction
One of the most famous bridges in the world spans the Tyne River and is the land mark of the city. The 12th century keep at the foot of Dean Street is all that remains of the New Castle. The bridge is magnificently lit at night and it's worth wandering across to marvel at the iron structure; On construction in 1928 it was the largest single span in the world.

Tyne Leisure Cruises - Tourist Attraction

Beamish Museum - Tourist Attraction
This award winning museum is dedicated to past life in this part of northeast of England. Just 12km southwest from the city you will find this excellent recreation of life as it was lived nearly 100 years ago, including a railway station, coal mine, colliery village and a genuine tram taking the visitor from one attraction to the next. Grainger Market - Tourist Attraction
The largest traditional market in the city in a stylish building near Grey's Monument. Offering mainly meat and vegetables, the market has been going since 1835 and was the city's first indoor market and retains an atmosphere from the past(Though the meat is fresh). Other markets in town are the Saturday Bigg Market, Once a month farmers at Greys, Greenmarket near Eldon Sq and the Sunday Quayside Market.

Big Mussel - Restaurant or Cafe
This is a very popular sea food restaurant located on the Newcastle Quayside and commands lovely river views.
