 Madame Tussaud's and the Planetarium - Tourist Attraction |
This world famous attraction is located by Baker Street tube station. One of London's top attractions for years and always crowded. Pre book to avoid the long queues.
Madame Tussaud started here in 1835 to recreate famous figures in wax. The lifelike celebrities range from historical, political, royalty, pop stars, sportsmen and women. A who's who from the distant past to present day.
The Planetarium is just next door and gives one a spectacular view of the night sky on it's domed ceiling.

The former Victorian Fruit and Vegetable market can be found a stroll from Covent Garden tube station. The renewed area has retained it's charm and is now home to a variety of attractions including, an open cobbled area where fun miming and juggling performers ply their trade, a craft market, classical concerts in a sunken courtyard, mainstream market and shops, cafes, restaurants.The entertainment is free and a pint in the Punch and Judy can be enjoyed on the balcony with a free variety show thrown in.

The home of the reigning British monarch since 1837 is arguably the number one attraction in London, even if you just come to see the Changing of the Guard it's a must. Take the tube to South Kensington station and walk through the long tunnel.
The museums 7 floors are jam packed with interactive exhibits, highlighting technology through the ages. Ever changing special exhibits, an IMAX theatre and plenty more. Kids love it!
The V and A and History museums are in the same street and it would take a day to skirt them all so choose from any of these excellent museums.

Harrods is a London institution presently owned by Mohammed Al Fayed(Though you never catch him at the tills) A monument to class and sheer luxury in shopping. The five food halls are a feast for the eyes and nose. There are 19 places to eat and a department for nearly everything you could possibly want to buy. Its massive, its expensive and its stunning.

Get off the tube at Waterloo to stroll the South bank of the Thames and take in the many attractions on the way, the first of which the London Eye, a huge big wheel that revolves slowly to reveal amazing city views. | It is a perfect begining to a weekend. With the choice to fine dine or simply taste the fine wines they have to offer you can't go wrong. They have a live jazz and blues band which get the atmosphere rock 'N' and the dancing shoes on. A romantic night out or an unforgetable evening with friends. A Must if your in the london area. I would strongly recomend!!! :) |

| New hotel, just near Tower Bridge, in Tooley Street. Amazing rooms, very stylish and contemporary. Excellent buffet breakfast, evening dinner not bad. Wonderful staff, extremely helpful. Beware of the mini bar though! Don't touch anything in it unless you want a drink or something to eat, because as soon as you move ANYTHING at all, it immediately shows on the computer and is added to your bill. We didn't read this on the mini fridge door, until we had had a good old poke around to be curious!! As soon as I informed the receptionist she just laughed at the amount of items added, but immediately removed them. I would stay in this hotel again as the service was excellent. |
