Mathew Street Festival - Local Festival or Holiday
This music festival has been running in the city centre for 11 years. At the end of August over 3 days and is Europe's largest free annual festival. The bands are mainly copies of the original Merseyside Beat of the 60s and much more nostalgia. Over 200 bands on a number of stages have spilled on to adjacent streets. You will be singing along and dancing in the streets.

Merseyside Maritime Museum - Cutural Attraction
Albert Dock is where you will find this fascinating museum that traces Liverpool's history from being a major port till today.The 6 floors of exhibits include slave trade, emigration, an eerie recreated dockside street and some artefacts from the Titanic. There is a small Customs and Excise Museum attached, displaying a wide array of confiscated items. Free admission.

Ferry Cross the Mersey - Tourist Attraction
Capture the unique historic atmosphere of the city and it's river on a cruise around the bay. Cruises leave regularly from the Pier Head and you can enjoy an interesting commentary on the ports history. The trip can be broken at Seacombe for the Childrens Play Area, Aquarium, and at Woodside for the Waterfront Cafe. There is also an evening dance cruise and all day canal trip.

International Inn - Hotel
4 South Hunter Street off Hardman Street, In the heart of the city and an easy walk to everything. This hostel is a great combination of cleanliness, fun and cheap tariffs. Liverpool Football Club Tour - Sporting Activity
The famous ground is easy to find, well signposted and only 5kms from the city centre. The guided tour takes you into the changing room (Not on matchdays), walk down the tunnel to the recorded sounds of 50,000 voices. The museum tells the story of one of England's most successful clubs, including a film and recreation of the Kop as it used to be. Everton, the blue neighbour and rival do a similar tour.

Ness Botanic Gardens - Natural Attraction
For a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, then take a short drive out to the Wirral on the M53 and follow the signs. You will be rewarded with 62 acres of pristine beauty. The gardens are well laid out and informative. Facilities include a gift shop, cafe, visitor centre and children's play area.

60 Hope Street - Restaurant or Cafe
The name gives a clue as to where you'll find this award winning restaurant, located in a Georgian house between the two Cathedrals. This restaurant is popular with young and old and won't break the bank. Simple and trendy decor and International food served in style.

The Albert Dock - Tourist Attraction
The focal point of Liverpool's harbour area is an easy stroll from downtown and is a magnificently restored attraction. The warehouse's were opened in the 19th century and are now home to cafes, restaurants, shops, hotels and top tourist attractions including, The Beatles Story, Maritime Museum, Tate Gallery and the Museum of Liverpool Life.

Liverpool Cathedral - Cutural Attraction
This massive edifice stands as a landmark in the city centre and is the largest Anglican Cathedral in Britain. Enter here with your mouth open and check out the sheer size of the gothic arches, organ and stained glass windows.

Architecture - Cultural Attraction
Stand outside Burger king (near central station), and look up at the buildings opposite (not the shops, the stucture above them), all very different with fascinating and some elabrate designs. Speaking of elaborate, then go to St Lukes Church which is at the top of Bold Street. Bombed in the World War, and preserved since, as an area of peace and tranquility, a fascinating building
