Temple Newsam House, Home Farm & Gardens - Cutural Attraction
Located 7 km outside the city centre off the A63 Selby Road. This house is a magnificent example of a Tudor homestead and also where Mary Queen of Scots was born. There is an audio guide and 3 floors of Equisite furniture to discover. The farm houses over 400 rare breeds and sometimes hosts Craft Fairs.

Corn Exchange - Tourist Attraction
Boar Lane, This oval building was completed in 1863 and considered to be one of the finest Victorian structures in Britain. The original Town Hall was housed here, but recently the Exchange has been developed into a grand shopping centre. The old and new blend in well here without much change to the Victorian atmosphere.
