 Clifton Observatory and Caves - Natural Attraction |
Located close to the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the observatory has a fascinating camera obscura, that is a curved mirror that rotates to reflect outside views on to a screen.
The adjacent caves are accessible through a small passage that takes one to the Giants Cave for a great view over the gorge. They are two separate attractions and the admission is 1.50 pounds each. |

 SS Great Britain - Cutural Attraction |
Go to the harbourside to visit this popular ship. Built by Brunel as the largest ship steam powered and made of iron, and built for luxury cruising. The Great Britain has been lovingly restored and is well worth viewing.The entry ticket includes The Maritime Heritage Centre and The Matthew which is a replica of a 15th century ship.

If you like your ale real then look no further as there are at least 5 guest ales to sample(You might have to go on half pints to do them justice).  Bristol Balloon Fiesta - Local Festival or Holiday |
To see the balloons take off go to Ashton Square or anywhere in the town to witness this spectacular display of colour. It is held for 4 days in August and one of the largest outdoor events in the country. Started in 1979 by a small group of enthusiasts, it now attracts half a million visitors. A village is set up in the large park and there is plenty to do.
