Santa Clara Church - Cutural Attraction |
Located on the island of Menorca, you will find the Santa Clara Church, which was founded in 1287 and then was destroyed in 1558 during the Turkish raid. The church was rebuilt during the 17th century and was once again badly damaged in the Spanish Civil War. The church was restored once again and has remained standing until this day.
One of the definite highlights of the church is a very complicated wood carving which depicts the 'Adoration of Shepherds.' The carving was stolen many years ago, but then due to a stroke of luck, was recovered a few years later. The attractive little church is to this day home to a handful of dedicated nuns. |

Situated in Menorca, is the longest and most crowded beach on the island. The beach stretches along 3 km of beautiful sand and calm waters, making it the ideal beach for children to have a swim.
