Blanes - Tourist Attraction
Located on the coast 60km north of Barcelona. Plenty to see and do in this resort, but its also quieter than the more popular neighbours. The Mari Mirtra gardens are a must for the nature lover, as are the resorts Pinya Rosa Gardens.

Mondays are market days on the promenade, There is also a fruit and vegetable market every morning. Some interesting historical buildings are worth seeing and of course many fiestas throughout the year

Lloret de Mar - Tourist Attraction
The resort is close to Blanes, but much more lively and chock full of discos, bars, pubs and beach parties. So the party animal will feel at home here.That’s not to say that there isn't a rich history in this former fishing village. To learn more of the past here just pop into the Verdaguer Cultural Centre to see a model of the excavations in the area. The locals dance the Sardana on a Saturday evening in the summer at Placa de la Vila and love it when visitors join in.

Roses - Tourist Attraction
This beautiful small town is perfectly located in a bay to the north of Costa Brava, and just 30kms from the French border. There is a rich history connected to this rather quiet resort. The Citadel to the east of the town was built nearly 500 years ago. Home to two natural reserves and bird watchers will delight in the area. Of course the beaches are pristine fine white sands, which seem to stretch for ever.

Santa Susanna - Tourist Attraction
Just a few kms south of Lloret, This lovely old walled town is set back from the beach. The town is surrounded by fertile soil and local farmers bring their produce into the market every Tuesday morning. Local crafters also offer their goods every afternoon in the summer. A big fiesta happens in August and the party does not stop. Nearby are attractions such as the Marineworld Aquarium and the Water World slide park.

Water World - Children’s Activity
Just before you enter Lloret De Mar, This will tire the children and entertain the young at heart. Plenty of tubes, rapids, wave pool, Jacuzzi's, slides for the little ones. Do not think of leaving after an hour or two. A good day should be planned for this excursion. There are places in the huge area for relaxation and loads of facilities.

Calella - Tourist Attraction
Although the towns modern esplanade gets chock-a-block in the season, there is enough culture here to keep everyone happy. Wander through the old part of town to get a taste of genuine Spanish architecture and the small Tapas bars and cafes. Nearly every month of the year brings a new fiesta, so there is no excuse for not dancing the Sardana.

Tossa de Mar - Tourist Attraction
About 20km north of Lloret de Mar, but a world away as far as atmosphere. If you like a quiet break with some interesting historical areas interlinked with sunning on the 14km of silky sand beach. Villa Vella is the old quarter and boasts a medieval castle that dates back 1000 years. The walled old quarter is a delightful maze of narrow streets filled with shops and cafes. There is also a lovely nature reserve just outside of town.

Estartit - Tourist Attraction
Located on the coast 40km from Girona. Although the sleepy fishing village has become popular with tourists, it still retains it's charm and is a good base for exploring the Costa Brava being in the middle. The resort overlooks the Medes islands (A protected nature/marine reserve). A great place for swimming, scuba or snorkelling. You can also venture out to the islands on a glass bottomed boat. A good mix of shops and restaurants are here to enjoy.

Cadaques - Tourist Attraction
Located in the northern part of the coast about 8km east of Roses. A very pretty town that consists of whitewashed house hugging the harbourfront. Many artists have graced the town and it was home to Dali for years. Hence there are some galleries, including The House of Salvador Dali, a good museum and the fine nature reserve of Cap Creus. Not the best of beaches, but the culture vulture will enjoy a break here.

Portbou - Tourist Attraction
Very close to the French border, so one can combine a short break in both Spain and France and compare costs. Fishing is still a major industry and the town is nestled in a fertile valley and is not as busy as some of the resorts to the south

Plenty of divine nature walks around the town and there are good views from the mountain peaks;
