Located at Emmet Place, Cork, County Cork, this gallery displays works by famous Irish painters such as William Orpen, James Barry, Daniel Maclise, and others. The local artists works are the focus of the gallery but there is also on display handcrafted silver and glass, and sculpture.
Located in what was once Corks customs house back in the 18th century, the gallery was brought slap-bang into today with an extensive and thorough face-lift, as well as an ultramodern extension. There is a bookshop and a restaurant at the gallery.

 Blarney Castle and Stone - Tourist Attraction |
| Located 8km (5 miles) northwest of Cork City, Blarney, County Cork, Blarney Castle, or what is left of it, is a striking sight with its massive square tower and parapet rising 25 meters into the sky. It is here that the Blarney Stone can be found, and kissed, to gain wonderful powers of speech and eloquence. If you are not limber enough to bend over backwards and hang head first from the battlements to achieve this feat, then instead wander through the gardens, or stroll along Blarney Lake for some peaceful reflection before checking out the dark and dreary dungeons at the bottom of the castle. | Dating back to a charter of James I in 1610, Irelands finest food market has a long history, including been ravaged by fire in 1980. Refurbished to an award-winning design by the city architect, T.F. MacNamara, it still sells it fish, meat, vegetables and fruit, as well as traditional Cork fare like hot buttered eggs. Visitors will find this old establishment in Cork on Grand Parade.

The castle at Carrigtwohill, between Cork City and Cobh, is a fine example of a 15th century tower house, with 16th century additions and alterations. Barryscourt Castle was the seat of the Barry family for 500 years, from the 12th to 17th century. There is an old-world tearoom and craft shop in the adjacent stone coach house. Built in 1722, and Cork’s most beloved landmark, St Anne’s Church is known for its melodious bells. It is built of red sandstone and limestone, from which the Cork hurling and football teams take their colours. The view from the belfry is quite inspiring and well worth the effort of climbing.
