 Christmas Market - Local Festival or Holiday |
Located along the streets in the centre of the city. This is one of the most popular events on Stuttgart's calendar. There a large number of stalls offering a wide range of goods, including gifts; arts and crafts; jewellery; snacks; and local food and drink.
There is also an extensive live entertainment program, with music concerts and Christmas carols.
The Cristmas Market runs from 19 November to 22 December, and is open everyday from 11h30 - 21h00. |

 Mercedes-Benz Museum - Cutural Attraction |
| Mercedesstrasse 136, take the S-Bahn to Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion. This museum pays tribute to the oldest automobile factory in the world, as well as the invention of the motorcar by Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler. The museum has 75 historical cars on display, including a Daimler Reitwagen from 1885; the first Mercedes of 1902; and race cars like the Blitzen-Benz; the Silver Arrow; the Sauber Mercedes; and the Indy car. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 09h00 - 17h00. Admission is free. |

| Konrad-Adenauer-Strasse 30-32, take the U-Bahn to Staatsgalerie. This is Stuttgart's best art museum, and exhibits works spanning 550 years. The museum's top collection is from the 19th and 20th centuries, especially works by Kirchner; Barlach; Beckmann; and representatives of the Bauhaus school and Blue Rider group. The museum also has excellent examples of French art from the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as the European and American postwar avant-garde. The museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10h00 - 18h00; and Thursday from 10h00 - 21h00. Admission is $5.40 for adults; $3 for students; and free for children under 13. |

| Hauptstdtter Strasse 61, take the U-Bahn to Osterreichischer Platz. This classy cellar-level restaurant has a 200 year old vaulted ceiling above the dining area, and is an icon of the modern cuisine as showcased by cuisine of Vienna-born Friedrich Gutscher. This is one otf the best restaurants in Stuttgart, they serve a range of interesting dishes, including cream of cucumber soup; consomme of pigeon with truffles; and filet of Brittany sea wolf marinated in lemon juice and olive oil, served with a salad of warm asparagus and exotic mushrooms. The restaurant is open Monday to Friday from 18h30 - 24h00. |

| Sulzerrainstr. 2. The mineral springs found at Mineralbad Canstatt are over 2,000 years old, and have a daily output of 22 million litres. The Mineralbad Cannstatt has a range of facilities on offer, including indoor and outdoor mineral pools; hot tubs; sauna; steam room; and spa facilities. The Mineralbad Cannstatt is open daily from 09h00 - 20h00. |

| d Wurttembergisches Landesmuseum - Schillerplatz 6, take the U-Bahn to Schlossplatz. This castle is one of Stuttgart's oldest structures, and was originally a moated castle built in 13th century. Today it houses the Wurttembergisches Landesmuseum, that exhibits the art and culture of Swabia from the Stone Age to the present. Collections that the museum houses, includes Swabian sculptures; clocks; coins; musical instruments; the treasures of the tomb of the Celtic prince of Hochdorf; and the ducal art chamber. The museum is open Tuesday from 10h00 - 13h00 and WEdnesday to Sunday from 10h00 -17h00. Admission is $4.20 for adults and $1.80 for students. |

 Television Tower - Tourist Attraction |
| Jahnstrasse 120, tram 15. The Television Tower, located in the south of Stuttgart, stands at 217m. It was built in 1956 using innovative applications of aluminum and prestressed reinforced concrete. There are a number of facilties at the tower, including a restaurant at the bottom; as well as a cafe, bar, restaurant, observation platform, and information about the tower at the top of a 150m elevator. The tower is open daily from 09h00 - 22h30. Admission is $3.60 for adults and $2.40 for children. |

The Staatstheater is the top cultural venue in Stuttgart, and consists of a Grosses Haus for opera and ballet; a Kleines Haus for theater; and the Kammer-Theater, that has experimental plays.
