 Musee Dauphinois - Cutural Attraction |
30 rue Maurice-Gignoux. The museum is housed in the 17th-century convent Ste-Marie-d'en-Haut and there is also the cloister; gardens; and baroque chapel of the convent found on the grounds.
The museum contains a collection of ethnographic and historic mementos of the Dauphine. Items on display include furnishings; tools; artifacts; and replicas of Alpine settings.
The museum is open May to October Wednesday to Monday from 10h00 - 19h00; and November to April Wednesday to Monday from 10h00 - 18h00. Admission is $4 for adults; $2 for children 12 - 16; and free for children under 12. |

| 5 place de Lavalette. This museum was founded in 1796 and is one of the oldest art museums in the country. It was also the first French museum to focus on modern art, there are a range of French; Flemish; and Itallian Renaissance art on display, however the Impressionist paintings gain the most interest. Works of art on display include works by Ernst; Corot; Klee; Bonnard; Gauguin; and Monet. There are also older paintings and sculptures on display, as well as artifacts and relics from Greek; Egyptian; and Roman times. The museum is open Wednesday from 11h00 - 22h00; and Thursday to Monday from 11h00 - 19h30. Admission is $6 for adults; $3.60 for children, seniors and students. |

 Le Bois Francais Lake and Park - Natural Attraction |
| 38 330 Saint Ismier, in the suburb of Le Versoud. This park is a great place for the whole family to go and have fun in the water or in nature. The park covers an area of 100 hectares and has a very large lake in the centre of it. There are a number of watersports on offer at the lake and there are always life guards on duty. The park has a number of facilities, including a swimming area; a beach area; canoeinf; water skiing; a cafe; picnic areas; fitness trails; and nature trails. |

 Musee de la Resistance et de la Deportation - Cutural Attraction |
14 rue Hebert. This museum was opened in 1994 as part of the celebrations to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of France. The museum follows the events of the Second World War in terms of local history, and focuses on the men and women who took part and the events that took place in the region. The exhibitions display the stages of joining the Resistance; the underground campaigns; repression and deportation; and the restoration of Republican values. The museum is open Wednesday to Monday from 09h00 - 18h00; weekends from 10h00 - 18h00. Admission is free.

10 place Paul-Mistral. This is the most stylish and luxurious hotel in Grenoble, and is very popular with tourists from around the world. | 7 rue de Montorge. This is the best restaurant in town, and boasts having had a very famous guest: in 1815 Napoleon Bonaparte spent the night here. Avignon-born Frederic Caby serves a wide range of French cuisine, including crayfish and shrimp cream soup; duck foie gras terrine; and filet of beef in game sauce. The restaurant is open everyday 19h30 - 22h00 and Saturday 12h00 - 14h00. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant has limited seating and tends to get very busy. |

155 cours Berriat. The national centre for contemporary art was created in 1986 and is housed in an old industrial building. It is divided into four areas: the Street; the major regional; national and international contemporary art gallery; and the tempprary exhibition hall. There are many different works of art on display and it will take you the best part of a day to get through everything on offer. The centre is open Tuesday to Sunday from 12h00 - 19h00. Admission is $4.20 for adults; and $2.40 for children and students.

 Maison Stendhal - Cutural Attraction |
| 20 Grande Rue. This museum is housed in old Hotel de Lesdiguieres, which was used as Grenoble's city hall. The museum traces the life of the famous author of "Le Rouge et le Noir". In the 18th century salons of the museum, you'll find portraits of Stendhal; his family and friends; signed copies and first editions of his works. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 14h00 - 18h00. Admission is $4.20 for adults; and $2.40 for children, students and seniors. |

This museum houses a range of interesting exhibits on the local monks who are the custodians of the secret formula for the liqueur known as Chartreuse. The museum is open April to June and September to October, everyday from 10h00 - 12h00 and 14h00 - 18h00; July and August everyday from 09h30 - 18h30. Admission is $3.70 for adultsand $18 for children. |

 Museum D'Historie Naturelle - Cutural Attraction |
1 rue Dolomieu. This is the natural museum and it houses a number of exhibitions, including permanent exhibitions on the Alps from their creation to the time man first settled there; temporary exhibitions; film cycles; lectures; and teaching seminars.
There is also a documentation centre that contains specialist works and periodicals about the natural sciences. The museum is located in the beautiful botanical gardens, which are also worth a visit.
The museum is open Monday to FRiday from 09h30 - 12h00 and 13h30 - 17h30; weekends and public holidays from 14h00 - 18h00. Admission is $6 for adults; $3.60 for children, seniors and students. |
