Musee de la Castre - Cutural Attraction
Le Suquet, at the top of the hill. The Castle of Cannes, which is a listed historic monument, has housed the collections of the Museum of Cannes since 1952. The museum has combined the ethnological and primitive art collections with those of the Fine Arts Museum, an excellent collection of works by 19th and 20th century painters from Cannes and Provence.

The museum is open October to March from 10h00 - 13h00 and 14h00 - 17h00; April to May from 10h00 - 13h00 and 14h00 - 18h00; June to August from 10h00 - 13h00 and 15h00 - 19h00; and September from 10h00 - 13h00 and 14h00 - 18h00. The museum is closed on Mondays. Admission is $3.60 for adults; and free for students up to 26years and children under 18.

Musee de l'automobile - Cutural Attraction
772 chemin Font-de-Currault. The museum was built in 1984 and is the only museum of its kind in the region. It houses an amazing collection of 100 classic cars and motorbikes. Rolls Royces; Ferraris; Jaguars; and Bugattis from early prototypes to the very latest models designed to compete in legendary races, such as the Le Mans 24-hour race and the Paris-Dakar rally, are all on display. The museum is open everyday from 10h00 - 19h00 in summer, and 10h00 -18h00 in winter. Admission is $7.20 and children under 12 are free.

Hotel Majestic - Hotel
14 bd. de la Croisette. This is the best and most glamourous hotel in Cannes and has been since 1926, it is very popular with celebrities during the annual film festival. The interior of the hotel is amazing, with crystal chandeliers; Oriental carpets; Louis XV silk furniture; and potted palms. The hotel offers two restaurants; bar; pool; salon; 24 hour room service; and laundry services. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, with TV; minibar; hair dryer; safe; telephone; internet connection; and a full bathroom. This is the place to stay in comfort and style, while rubbing shoulders with some celebs.

Cannes Film Festival - Local Festival or Holiday
Located at venues all over Cannes. This is one of the most famous, if not the most famous, film festival in the world. Everybody who is anybody in the film industry, as well as their adoring fans, flock to Cannes every year to take a glimpse at all the latest and hottest movies; and see who wins which one of the prestigious Palme d'Or. The festival has been running for 57 years and it will continue to run for many more.

Parc zoologique de Frejus - Tourist Attraction
Le Capitou, in the suburb of Frejus. This 50 acre mini safari park gives you the chance to get close to some of the animal kingdom's strangest and most beautiful animals. Opened in 1971, the park was specially designed to let its animals live in their natural habitat as much as possible. The sea lion and tiger training sessions are the most popular with children. The zoo is open June to September everyday from 09h30 - 18h00; and October to May everyday from 10h00 - 17h30. Admission is $11 adults; $7 ages 10 and up; and children under age 3 are free.

Plage du Martinez - Natural Attraction
Hotel Martinez, 73 boulevard La Croisette. This is one of the more famous private beaches, and is the biggest on La Croisette. The rich and trendy of Cannes come here to catch a few rays and hang out with other beautiful people under its famous pink umbrellas. If you're feeling more energetic there's parasailing; offshore racing; helicopter rides; waterskiing; sailing; wind-surfing; and scuba diving on offer. During the Cannes Film Festival the pontoon on the beach hosts the Canal+ studios.

Petits Trains de Cannes - Tourist Attraction
Boulevard La Croisette. Catch some of the beautiful sights of Cannes aboard this delightful little train. The Croisette tour takes you along Cannes' famous seafront past its beaches, the gorgeous belle epoque facades of its luxury hotels, and its Palais des Festivals as far as the new port at Pointe-Croisette. The Suquet tour winds its way through the heart of the old town on Suquet hill, taking in the Midi beaches and the old port. Tours depart every hour. Tickets cost $6 for adults; and $3 for children under 12.

MIDEM - Local Festival or Holiday
Esplanade Georges-Pompidou. The MIDEM (March International du Disque, de l'Edition Musicale) is the top music festival on the world's music calendar. It was founded in 1967 and attracts the who's who in the music industry, including artists; record companies; concert organizers; and music lawyers. The record company executives get together to negotiate and sign contracts; discover new trends and talent; and network. There are also many concerts held by the big names in the music industry.

Le Royal Gray - Restaurant or Cafe
38 rue des Serbes, in the Hotel Gray-d'Albion. This is one of the best restaurants in Cannes, and manages to be cozy and grand at the same time. Michel Bigot serves some of the best modern French cuisine, specialities include terrines of foie gras; fricassee of lobster with creamy tarragon sauce; roasted filets of John Dory with olives and baby mushrooms; and grilled filet of beef with bearnaise sauce. The restaurant is open everday from 12h30 - 14h00 and 20h00 - 22h30. Reservations are required as it is one of the most popular restaurants in Cannes.

Riviera Beach - Tourist Attraction
Boulevard Jean-Hibert. This is one of the most popular private beach with the locals, and is the beach to go for a real taste of the Mediterranean. The beach is beautiful and is one of the more reasonably priced private beaches.

You can play some beach volley ball; take a swim; or rent a sunbed and catch a tan. There is an excellent lunch only restaurant on the beachfront, which sells delicious seafood at reasonable prices.

This beach is a great place for the whole family to have some fun in the sun and is open September to June everyday from 10h00 - 16h00; and July to August everyday from 09h30 - 20h30.
