Shopping in Port Douglas is one of the most popular activities for tourists to the town. There are many rainforest craft shops located along the waterfront at the Four Mile Beach, which sell a wide range of locally crafted items. You can spend hours browsing through all the interesting items on offer here. There are also seaside markets held every Sunday at the beachfront, which sell a wide range of local arts and crafts.

Nautilus - 17 Murphy Street. This restaurant has been a local favourite since 1953, and is the place to go for some excellent seafood dishes. It is also very popular with tourists, Bill and Hillary Clinton dined here during a visit Down Under. They serve a wide range of tropical and local seafood dishes.
Port O' Call Bistro - Port Street at Craven Close. This poolside bistro and bar is very popular with locals and tourists alike. They serve a wide range of cafe food with an Australian flavour, such as lamb shanks and steaks. This is a great place to go grab a quick bite to eat for lunch.
Sals Bar and Grill - 26 Wharf Street. This trendy restaurant is popular with locals and tourists for lunch and dinner. They serve a wide range of modern tropical dishes; like sand crab panna cotta; panfried Atlantic salmon with pickled ginger; and for desert buttermilk and almond nougat panna cotta.

Port O'Call - Port Street at Craven Close. This is one of the most popular bars in town and is frequented by a mixed group of locals and tourists. This is a great place to go and kick back, relax and have a few drinks while mixing with the locals.
Port Douglas Peninsula Hotel - 9-13 The Esplanade. Inside the hotel you'll find another excellent pub, which is popular with locals and tourists alike. Here you can sit back and have a few drinks after a long day's fun in the sun.
Four Mile Beach - There are a number of bars and pubs located all along the Four Mile Beach. You can just take a stroll along the waterfront and pull in to anyone of the bars found there, and you'll be garunteed of having a great time.
