The college owns the resort and while there are students around, nightlife is always alive. Just walk around town after 10pm and you will find what you are looking for. The family have a wonderful choice of dining including 'Fire and Ice' the restaurant/museum. The interior of this classic New England wooden house is decorated with artefacts relating to the town. Another great place is Tully and Marie's restaurant at 7 Bakery Lane. Old fashioned food in a modern eatery.

Overview

Middlebury College Snow Bowl is a fine resort to ski. The whole area seems to have stopped in time from the 60s. That only adds to the resorts unique qualities. The resort retains it's rustic charm and hasn't been tempted to build chunks of concrete on the slopes. Easy to learn the ropes as there are lessons available. The people are friendly and it is a great place for families. Expert skiers will find some good runs towards the top and snowboarders have a park and can use the runs. Best of all the place remains uncrowded without queues.
