Overview

One of the prettiest ski area's, Ferguson Ridge is located on the edge of the Wallowa Mountains with stunning views of Hell's Canyon. Ferguson is relatively tiny and is family oriented but welcomes all skill levels from beginner to expert as well as snowboarders. Ferguson is one of only two privately owned, non profit ski areas in Oregon and is entirely volunteer operated. The area is a real gem if you are trying to avoid large crowds and hordes of tourists as it is only now becoming popular. Locals have enjoyed the area since 1985 because of the great slopes and the fact that if you are willing to do a bit of volunteer work you can ski for free.
